Crescendo Chemical Health LLC – better known as The Haven – has partnered with Valley Medical Laboratory to provide its clients with a much improved urine drug testing experience: vTOXⓇ. This revolutionary form of urine drug testing developed by Valley Medical Laboratory uses DNA fingerprinting to map a client’s one-time cheek-swab sample to all future urine samples. This solution minimizes urine sample tampering and has vastly improved client compliance with urine drug testing.
In addition to also significantly speeding up the testing process, the core benefits of vTOXⓇ include reducing the burden of test collection for clinic staff, and eliminating the need for viewed sample collection.
The Haven’s CEO Tedd Herman shared:
“The ability to collect samples without observation, but still have complete confidence in the sample’s origination and validity, is a game-changer. As a smaller provider, [this process] is also hugely beneficial from a staffing perspective, because we don’t have to worry about whether we will have a staff member of the matching gender available to observe the collection when the client is prepared to offer it.”
The Haven operates four outpatient substance abuse treatment centers in Woodbury, Cloquet, Waconia, Shakopee, and a variety of virtual programs, which provide individualized care to men and women battling a variety of substance abuse issues. They serve clients from court ordered corrections programs, family referrals, and those who live in underserved areas where transportation is troublesome.
For the past twenty years, each treatment center has honored the meaning of “haven,” Tedd added:
“We strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and comfortable client-centered environment. Valley Medical’s vTOXⓇ solution supports this mission perfectly by eliminating the feelings of discomfort when an observed urine sample is required.”
Through vTOXⓇ, clients at all Haven locations can utilize a trauma informed testing process that helps to ensure physical and psychological safety from unwanted individuals being present when providing a urine sample. The Haven’s emphasis on small group settings and ability to provide remote tele-health opportunities through vTOX also make it a great choice for working professionals valuing discretion and privacy through their recovery journey.
The Haven offers group substance abuse programs from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday – Friday with the option for clients who live further away to attend remotely. While The Haven launched Telehealth services for clients who live outside the Metro area years ago, the vTOXⓇ by mail solution has now also elevated this service by allowing patients in a remote program the convenience of taking the test at home.
