On April 20-21, staff from Valley Medical Laboratory attended the 2023 MARRCH Spring Conference at Breezy Point Resort in Breezy Point, Minnesota. Attending for Valley Medical were CEO Dr. Ashwin George, Associate Director of Operations Jerald Mackey, and Outreach Coordinator Alexis Aune.

Valley Medical was a proud sponsor of this year’s event and supplied handy tote bags to all attendees. The Valley Medical booth was positioned at the entrance to the exhibitor’s room where it got a lot of attention and traffic.

Dr. George reports that we were able to talk with representatives from several addiction treatment centers along with many other healthcare professionals. There were more than 150 attendees at this year’s conference, all experts in treating substance use disorder. Hopefully this will lead to Valley Medical partnering with more treatment centers for their toxicology testing needs.

The Minnesota Association of Resources for Recovery and Chemical Health (MARRCH) is a professional association of addiction treatment professionals and organizations. The organization, long supported by Valley Medical, aims to raise awareness about addiction and the power of recovery. The association’s next big event is the 2023 MARRCH Annual Conference & Expo in St. Paul, scheduled for October 30th through November 1st—and Valley Medical Laboratory will be there!
